Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

31 Mar 2022The single star is not a comment on the Slow Way overall. It just has a comedy mapping error which makes this version unviable.
The route into/out of Axbridge uses the excellent Strawberry Line railway path, but at w3w reach.hammer.stunt where there appears to be a junction between the railway path and the bridlepath to/from Wavering down to the west, the railway path is in a cutting and entering a tunnel, and the bridlepath is many many metres up a rockface above it...... so unless you have wings.....!
This is not so very annoying if you are coming from Weston and can see that you need to find another way down, but if you are coming from Axbridge and have gone into the railway cutting already, it takes about a mile of extra journey either way to continue. Most frustrating! I will post the best alternative route very soon.
