15 Oct 2023I agree with pretty much everything in Strider's earlier review - this is slightly longer than the other two routes, but has great scenery.
I cycled the whole way, using a hybrid bike which was fine.
Anyone planning to try this with four wheels might want to check out the pictures I've posted - the entry to the long straight eastbound path at East Ginge is manageable for bikes, but for anything wider, it could be a challenge.

03 Aug 2023I cycled from Didcot to Wantage.
This is Sustrans route 544.
This gives an alternative route for wheels between Wantage and Didcot. Wheelchairs might need electric assistance up long inclines.
Plus:
No gates, barriers, stiles etc. Wide paths all the way. Well signposted. No steep hills. Generally well maintained paths. Great views and shops and cafes half way at Harwell. Almost entirely traffic free.
Minus:
Longer than the other routes. Long hills, quite tiring. Some puddles in places. As a walk there is some walking on vergeless roads, but they are very quiet.
I really enjoyed this ride, it took just over 2 hours, but I wish I had the time to linger and enjoy the scenery more.
