Description
A much quieter, but also longer route than walwal1. This route takes advantage of the network of shared cycle and pedestrian paths in Waltham and Cheshunt Marshes. access to and from this area at the Waltham Cross end is over the pedestrian footbridge over the train line at the end of Trinity Lane. A pleasant alternative to those with the time and those wanting to enjoy the wildlife of the wetlands

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

10 Jul 2023I enjoyed the route, as it is a nice walk through the wetland area. it is however twice the length of Walwal1 and uses a footbridge with many steps to get over the rail line.
it is safe, and if you have the time makes for a good alternative.
