Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

30 Nov 2023Tested the new and very similar WalEpp 2 route today. There is a new blocked footpath near Southend Farm fishing lakes which both routes use so I'm leaving a review here to make sure it also has a flag.
If you are thinking of testing this instead of WalEpp 2, don't. It's almost the same, but the line is only a rough match to the paths so it's harder to follow and also goes along a path that is blocked, east of Horseshoe Hill. The WalEpp 2 path is regularly used and clear on the ground. It isn't shown as a right of way but is over Corporation of London land and so accessible to the public. Could do with a sign though.

11 Dec 2022This is a good route, but in places hard to follow and inaccurate. I'm therefore uploading Walepp Two, which has these fixed.
