17 Sep 2022I think this is the best route between Trowbridge and Melksham. It avoids the uncertain footpaths, and is not much longer. The road walk at the Melksham end is very quiet and pleasant. It is a really lovely walk and definitely a recommended slow way.

12 May 2021This route avoids public footpaths with stiles from Whaddon to Berryfields, by extending the canal towpath section to Semington, followed by quiet old A350 into Melksham, which is Wheelchair / Pushchair friendly.

06 Nov 2021‘Tromel three’ is a simpler route, no risk of ploughed fields. Whilst there is some road walking from Berryfield to Outmarsh it is not a busy road and it offers a slightly longer walk along canal. Apart from the advantage to wheelchair users it is also an all weather route.
