Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

11 Feb 2024I walked this from Laugharne - Tenby.
The route from Laugharne to Pendine is just across farmland and country lanes - to avoid the MoD site and not just walk along a busy A road.
However it suddenly gets the wow factor at Pendine and onwards. The first of many steep ups and downs follows as you climb up to the top of the cliff and get amazing views back across Pendine. Walking to Ragwen point and the remainder of the route opens up before you with the Tenby visible in the distance. You can make a side quest down a track to Marros beach (was deserted).
Although at Amroth the path cuts above you can walk on the beach. Once you cross the bridge over the waterfall there is a path to the left over some boulders. There are a couple of streams which cut across the beach - its not deep but will go over the top of your boots - I had taken some wet shoes so used those. You can walk on the stone bank to avoid this.
The paths into and past Saundersfoot were quite muddy. But Saundersfoot is a good place for food and drink.
By Monkstone Point I was flagging due to all the ups and downs - and mud. There is a great view of Tenby from the cliffs and all the coloured houses.
Word of warning there is a lot of cliff walking and you do get close to the edge at times. Take care - especially with photos and selfies !.
