Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

12 Feb 2023Beautiful route through fields and small lanes from Stroud to Painswick. Mostly flat and easy going with excellent waymarking. There are multiple stiles and a narrow footbridge.

28 Jan 2023A really straightforward route to follow, more or less straight path with lots of signs. A few Stiles. Lovely walk across fields with stunning views. Could be muddy in winter. Refreshments and toilets at both ends.

27 Nov 2022Easy walking, nice countryside views. Not too muddy after rain but higher than usual number of styles and ‘kissing gates’, Also a couple of steps/bridges over streams. Coffee shop in the town of Painswick at the end!.

03 May 2021This gentle route follows the valley floor between the two towns. It is direct, well waymarked and is within lovely countryside. With regard to its accessibility, the route crosses the course of a small stream and includes stiles and several narrow foot bridges.
