Description
As the existing Strmin but without the deviation from the canal towpath at ///mixing.screening.engine to the bottom of Orchard Lane. Orchard Lane passes under the railway at ///polo.withdraws.sting so it is easy to get from the towpath onto Orchard Lane though this may not be clear from a 1:25000 map.

29 Jan 2023Straightforward route only (slightly) tricky bit being path from Brimscombe up on to Minch common - steep and likely to be muddy path.

29 Jan 2023Easy walk from Minchinhampton along the Park and then on a quiet road just under the brow of the hill. Going down above Brimscombe Cemetery the path was minimal across the slope and would be really tricky after lots of rain. There is a detour back over the road to avoid 50m of pavement. Probably only worth doing if you wanted to see the graveyard of the chapel. Then along the canal path into Stroud.
