27 Dec 2023It’s all road walking. It’s well signposted and easily accessible though. Combining this with the end of Stolon four would be better.

29 Jan 2023I found this route really tedious. Yes it’s direct, but it has an atmosphere of run down urban industry and trade, dominated by noise and fumes from cars.
Satnav for cars.

29 Jan 2023I'm normally a fan of the direct option but this was just a slog of relentless road. Some surrounding buildings make the Longton end an interesting start but I found myself thinking about where we were going to cross the road for most of the walk. The plotting could have helped with that. Really unimaginative and not much fun, but direct and safe. No stiles or steps. Plenty of stops and shops throughout, as you go through downtown Fenton between the Longton and Stoke ends. I much preferred the slightly longer alternative. Railway stations at either end and buses throughout, as well as Longton Bus Station.
