Description
The proposed StaSun One route has two sections which can be improved.
StaSun One between Causey Arch Carpark and Andrew's House Station takes a route which is tricky to follow and can be difficult with mud and brambles.
Then the route from Andrew's House Station to Sunniside Station crosses the railway yard and uses paths which are not rights of way. As the Tanfield Railway is fencing off much of its track and removing unofficial crossings the original route may not be useable in the future.
So my proposal is to use the bridleway that passes the Andrew's House and then on to the station. On the east side of the railway, north of the station, Gateshead Council has added the well made up bridleway to the definitive public right of way map. The rest of the route is as proposed in StaSun one

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
