18 May 2022Walk starts out walking along pavements. Once out of the village there are views of pastureland. There is a short stretch of road walking until the footpath goes through the pastures to the left. I couldn't find the designated path and took a parallel one and joined the right one further down hill. There were horses grazing in these fields and there were two stiles to cross. The path was not clear so was following the OS map. I thought I had got it right but ended up climbing over a gate only to discover a sign and stile a few metres further on!
Crossing the road was easier than I thought then it was just a case of following footpaths and grass verges through Washington. I wasn't familiar with this area and I didn't find sections of this route obvious. Perhaps my map reading skills.
The rout ended at The Galleries Shopping Centre and Bus Station.
It was a short and undemanding route.
