Description
Between Seaford and Exceat suggest taking inland route, rather than path over Seaford Head which is very steep in places and has regular cliff falls. (To match Seaeas)

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

27 Aug 2022The second leg of my yomp from Eastbourne to Seaford via Alfriston.
I chose to do a combination of SEAALF Two and SEAALF Three. This route uses the slightly quieter east bank of the Cuckmere River from Alfriston to Exceat Bridge. No issues, this is a very attractive walk. There are some stiles and often livestock in the fields and along the path. On the other bank, there was a field of goats today. There were lots of geese on the river and in the fields around about. Great views of the Litlington White Horse above the west bank of the river.
At Exceat Bridge you cross the river and the busy A259 by the Cuckmere Inn. At this point I switched to SEAALF Two to walk down to the coastguard cottages. SEAALF Three takes a shorter route back to Seaford, through fields, past the golf course and through residential streets. All perfectly fine, I have done it before.
