29 Apr 2021This is a very lovely walk, highly recommended. Some of the highlights include the historic Hipswell Hall, Hagg Farm (a Romano-British site), a lovely section along the river Swale, and finally superb views of Richmond Castle and other handsome Richmond buildings. I want to suggest one tiny improvement or variation on the route. It's nothing like an entirely new route. It's just that at around (what3words location column.clues.eats, there's a little set of steps leading off the main path down to a smaller and more secluded path right along the river. So instead of walking between the Old Station buildings at sake.shunning.sublime, it's much nicer to walk by the river at about tiger.marzipan.healers -- so the short stretch of Riccat between safety.skylights.remake and column.clues.eats would be better rerouted to the smaller but perfectly walkable path next to the river.
