Description
This SlowWay shortens the route of RhuPre One by 1.2km and improves accessibility, by taking a more direct route along the well established North Wales Path.
Unfortunately it is a foot-only route, due to the nature of the paths between Dyserth and Rhuddlan. However if wheeling, it is possible to take the A547, a busy road, but with a tarmacked pavement for its duration

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

26 Apr 2024Leaving Prestatyn (an official 'Walkers are Welcome' town) and its array of shops and eateries, we take a short residential street, to join the North Wales Path. This portion of the walk follows a shared pedestrian/cycle path, along the formation of a disused railway line. Despite it being a former railway line, there is a noticeable incline, affording some pleasant views enroute.
Upon leaving the North Wales Path, we follow a combination of minor roads and a right of way across a field containing sheep, before joining it again. This section of the walk includes multiple stiles, gates and rough ground. As such this is a foot-only route. However if wheeling, it is possible to follow the A547 between Dyserth and Rhuddlan - a busy road, but one with a pavement along its full length.
All in all, this was a very enjoyable walk, and one I'd do again.
