07 Aug 2024I found Rhoslanerchrugog a very friendly town. The route started downhill through sometimes pavement-less housing streets, down steps and gravel paths, with glimpses of a distant view. The route to the railway underpass was clearly plotted. Taller people that me might have to duck!
I enjoyed the path that ran between the railway and Bonc-yr-Hafod Park, I imagine it’s full of wildlife, although I didn’t spot much. The quiet roads, and the safe bridge over the horrible dual carriageway of RhoWre One, were quite pleasant.
The walk through Erddig Park was lovely, although I don’t think there is any access to the facilities there unless you pay the entrance fee. The landscaped grounds had lots of grand trees, and the route was all tarmac or large-grained gravel. There were a couple of well-placed fallen tree trunks which would make good seats.
Some quiet residential streets led into the busier centre of Wrexham, and the rather nice Wrexham General station.

17 Apr 2024A superb walk from the quiet streets and great views of Rhosllannerchrugog to the bustle of Wrexham via Erddig Country Park. Safe and relaxing as it avoids a dangerous road crossing. I found the lanes I had to walk were quiet. Top marks.
