13 Oct 2023This is "a" route to get from Wythall to Redditch and it's "the" route I took but I don't think it will prove to be the best one. Starting from Wythall, the route is very easy to follow, but it doesn't feel terrifically direct. The crossing of the A435 and multiple sections of road walking makes it score low for relaxation, although I wouldn't describe any section as dangerous (that would be a fail). Standard of route infrastructure is variable and gets worse, the nearer that you get to Redditch. There is a pub pretty well halfway by the A435. Some enjoyable sections, but scrapes by as a Slow Way. This doesn't appear to be a part of the world that delights in the great outdoors.
