22 Jun 2024 (edited 23 Jun 2024)A quirky walk in a part of the world which doesn't expect you to be walking. The start point, a taxi shelter outside the main hall is a bit of a puzzle but the route navigates paths between car parks and passes a very useful toilet block, which offers the opportunity to refill water bottles. Having passed a hotel, you pick up a cycle path which had you started the route from the railway station/airport/bus stops you would already have been following it. This allows time away from traffic, however briefly and is leafy and peaceful. There is some time pounding pavements beside major roads and some dual carriageway crossings to use before you join the main road into Coleshill. That's quite a variety of environments in quite a short walk. Varied, safe and direct.
