14 Nov 2021I attempted this route from Callander to Lochearnhead but had to abandon it half way due to a couple of places where paths shown on the map were not present on the ground. One was 4km from Callander where the route goes through wood land to reach Bealach Gaoithe - there is no path through the woodland and the ground is very rough with lots of fallen trees. I managed to get round this by following the deer fence on the eastern boundary, but it was pathless and vey rough going. The second obstacle was 8km from Callander where the route follows a forest track that is shown on OS map but not present on the ground. There is an alternative lower level track which can be followed to continue the route through Glen Ample. Suggest the route needs to be rerouted to avoid both these sections. Nice views from the forestry tracks across to Ben Ledi and Loch Lubnaig though, so not all bad.
