12 Nov 2023A charming Slow Way through a fascinating part of London. This route is packed with interest and from a refreshment angle is very well supplied. Full marks!.

12 Nov 2023Walked from Liverpool Street to Bethnal Green. An enjoyable route, simple and easy to follow, through Brick Lane which is full of interest (we were too early to sample the street food).
The navigation is simple, mostly on pavements apart from one section on good surfaced paths through a park, so I won't bother with step by step instructions or a lengthy review.

30 Jun 2023I walked from Bethnal Green to Liverpool Street.
A charming walk with lots of interest. I walked much further than 3km as I wandered off through markets and around galleries. Lots of wonderful places to eat. And a lovely park thrown in for free.
Good for wheels, although crowds and street furniture.

08 Aug 2022A rather lovely route full of contrasting streets. Brick Lane is a bit of a highlight for me as I do enjoy a bit of street art.
There’s a few places you might want to explore along the way including Spitalfields Market and and the Spitalfields City Farm.

18 Jan 2022I walked this route from Bethnal Green to Liverpool Street. I thought it was a great classic urban Slow Ways route.
I loved the bit through the Weavers playground area, and I loved the way you can see the tall buildings around Liverpool Street peak up off in the distance.
I loved some of the streets the route followed and the lovely residential areas it passed through, but I also loved being able to explore Spitalfields Market right on the route!
I was really impressed with the great diversity of walking the short route offered and was really pleased.

15 Jul 2021I walked this route from Liverpool Street to Bethnal Green. It is short and straightforward - I was able to memorise the route and walk it without any map (tho' I am familiar with the area).
Despite its brevity it manages to include a covered market, a Hawksmoor church, the famous Brick Lane curry houses, plenty of graffiti, an urban farm and some parkland.
It is paved all the way and avoids busy roads until the final stretch along Bethnal Green Road which is unavoidable but brief.
