Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Stiles, mud, slippery steps.
Leaving the Talbot Inn and crossing the A44 you have a long boring section on the road.
Eventually, at Ravenhill you turn off-road and things improve. Across a meadow and into an old hollow-way. Across a footbridge and up some muddy steps to emerge from a hedgerow.
Here we have the first clear view of the Malvern Hills.
At Alfrick there is a great community run shop and cafe. (9-5 weekdays, 9-noon at weekends). Out of the village past the church, and onto another sunken (hollow) way.
This lane must be alive with wildlife at dusk judging by the number of active burrows.
Past the Knapp & Papermill Nature reserve (good toilet & tap) and turn right up through a meadow. Then just 20m of road to continue upwards. Past a pond in the grounds of a big house, up to a stile leading into woodland.
I stopped soon after, sleeping just off the path. On my way by 6am - nobody passed by.
The woods open up again and then there are lots of apple orchards and posh houses.
The farm cider shop was still shut at that time sadly.
A few fields of houses and paddocks and soon you are in Malvern and almost finished.
Rated a 4 because of the long road section to start.
