Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

31 May 2022Walked Southall to Harlington.
I feel I may be being a bit harsh with this review, but having walked it I found the route drawing was a bit rough and ready, which meant having reached the Grand Union canal, I had to guess whether to walk along the canal towpath or the road.
Since neither canal towpath nor road was especially nice I was grumbling a bit by the time I reached Cranford Park and, following the route, plunged down a rather overgrown track away from the main footpath, and promptly found my way blocked by a tree.
Based on this experience I've made Harsou Two, which follows the main footpath through the northern section of Cranford Park, and also goes via Southall Broadway and the Paddington Arm of the canal, which is pleasanter (cleaner, more swans and ducks) than the Grand Union main line in this part of London. Recommend Harsou Two.
