Follows John o Groats path, which is partially waymarked, along the coast. Potentially dangerous river crossing north of Ackergill Links, but diversion to main road is possible, the river is most dangerous at high tide and during wet periods. The inland part of this route follows fire breaks through the forest at Stroubster, which could be hard going
