Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Feb 2023A really good walk, pretty much all off the road. Quite a dramatic approach to Dunbar along the edge of the golf course, well worth it.

22 Jul 2022A lovely route . East Linton is a fascinating village and booth it and Dunbar are worth exploring if you have time. Going west to east, you follow the picturesque time, past the old watermill, then follow the John Muir way. The section past the Tyne estuary is beautiful with plenty of bird life and a section past the woods at Hedderwick past the family farm. The final section follows the cliff trail with stunning views of the Bass Rock and the North Sea. Ice cream May await too in Dunbar High Street. Look out for the seals in the harbour too. A historic and fascinating walk.

13 Sep 2021A lovely easy slow way, almost entirely on very well surfaced paths. On the walk you pass through farmland, woodlands, estuary and the town of Dunbar itself - making for a really interesting and varied route. Look out for the emus and llamas and other creatures as you pass along the back of East Links Family Park!.
