Description

DulCry Two
This is an on-road alternative route. It is very direct, and despite being fairly busy traffic-wise it is quite pretty, going past Dulwich College and along leafy and attractive roads. There are streetlights and it would be very easy to navigate. For a mid-route break out it does go right past Sydenham Hill Station but there are few mid route bus stops and don’t appear to be any shops or eating places along the way..

The original route, DulCry One, is very lovely, through parks and woodland, and mostly genuinely off-road and peaceful. I’d recommend it over this one unless you are walking after dark, or if directness, accessibility concerns are important to you.

Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Intrepid Rabbit

Okay, this route doesn't go through parks or other green spaces but it does do what it set out to do. It provides a very straightforward route along roads to enable the walker to get from A to B, without having to worry about green spaces being shut or possible safety issues after dark.
It's really not a bad walk at all, taking us through the leafy and affluent Dulwich Village and ending at a bookshop. Bonus!.
