Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

A great route connecting some of south-east London's best but least travelled green spaces. Lots of opportunity for great views across the city and also takes advantage of some pretty sections of The Green Chain walk.

Certainly a hilly route for London - perhaps an alternative route would avoid ascending One Tree Hill as there are a significant number of steps.

If you're looking for a break halfway Dulwich Picture Gallery has both great art and a nice cafe!.

Is this the best way to walk between Catford and Dulwich!? Maybe so. LOVE the views across the city from the parks and especially One Tree Hill - one of my favourites in London for sure.

The many steps going up One Tree Hill will slow or stop some people. It would be great if someone local could design another route option that misses these out in a tranquilish way!

Love it though. Would definitely walk this one again.

Tranquil and low gradient DulCat 3 now available! Arrived in Dulwich and realised this route was already verified so I had a coffee and made a new route for you.

Enjoyable walk, mainly through green spaces. This was my first Slow Ways walk and I realised that I couldn't entirely rely on the map from the website, which could be misleading at times. Once I started cross checking with Google maps I was fine. This is quite a hilly walk. One Tree Hill is especially steep and includes some steps. Overhill road is also very steep. I think someone in a wheelchair is likely to be struggling. Part of the path through Brenchley Gardens is very uneven. Plenty of seats along the route if you need a rest and some great views. The other thing to note is that some of the green spaces are not open 24/7.
