06 Aug 2023Got a bit lost through Cliffe Park but found the path eventually
Public foot bath off Bents Lane with a few steps
Steep assent for first couple of hours
Footpath near Cross Daggers has many steps
Prickly nettle filled footpath after Coal Aston petrol station after which there is a straw filled field
Lots of styles to cross until you come out of the fields on the pavements for most of the rest of the walk.

24 Nov 2022 (edited 27 Dec 2022)Walked from Dronfield to Sheffield. This is almost a very good route, but the plotting is wayward in important places and the dangerous road crossing mentioned by the first reviewer can and should be avoided. When walking north from Dronfield, note that the footpaths can only be reached from Wilson Road at the sign where the first footpath goes left - the footpath diamond on the OS map on the cul de sac is wrong. The plotting of the route down East Bank Road suggests a route through the parkland that doesn't exist.
I have created DROSHE 3 to fix these problems, and will post a fuller review there.

17 Jun 2021A pleasant walk from Dronfield to Sheffield along mainly quiet roads and across arable farmland. Once the rote gets closer to Sheffield city centre the path inevitably starts to follow busier, albeit safe roads. There is one particularly dangerous road crossing over a busy and fast dual carriageway with a break between carriageways.
Some minor route corrections required to avoid paths overgrown with crops.

06 Aug 2023It would be helpful if you could review DROSHE 3, which is more or less the same as this one except for very necessary clarification of the route out of Coal Aston, and using a safer crossing point for the A6102 bypass road. DROSHE 3 is currently only one review short of being verified.
