Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

21 Feb 2023This is a great route and quite accessible; although there are some steep ramps over foot bridges, and a low bridge (1.5m high) to duck under. Lots of great green spaces and nature in Hackney too. There is also a bit of rough ground beside the River Lee. Lot's of great refreshment stops at either end and in Clapton Village. I'd not follow the final piece along Cranbook Mews and instead head along Walthamstow's great pedestrianised High Street. There are many bus and train links out at both ends. A hidden gem in East London.

07 Feb 2023A really great route that mostly goes through green spaces and backroads! Defo recommend.

18 Jan 2023This is a great route going through plenty of green space, along the river and past the marshes and through Hackney Downs too. There is a low bridge that many people will have to stoop to walk under at the marshes end of Coppermill Lane.
