Description
This route stays to the north of the River Dee and follows the Dee valley round. This is shorter and has less climb than alternatives. It is mostly along a minor road which carries little traffic. The route in and out of Llangollen is along the canal towpath

07 May 2023I enjoyed this valley bottom walk. The traffic in the main was an outing of horse and traps. Very few cars. I always felt safe . It was easy to follow and easy to walk. For refreshments there is the Sun Inn at Rhewl and The Grouse Inn at Carrog. plenty of services at either end. A very nice day out.
