Description
More direct walk between Cockermouth and Loweswater, using footpaths, very quiet country roads, pavement walking and a short walk on the Loweswater Road in Loweswater, saving about 2miles. From Cockermouth via Waterloo Farm, Brandlingill, Mosser and then using the old Fell Road to Loweswater avoids the footpaths over fields which get very muddy in rain/winter months, or have cows on them in the summer (not everyone's favourite!). The old Fell Road is 'not suitable for motor traffic' so only used by a handful of farmers, very quiet and beautiful
