This is a lovely route. It’s not difficult but there are sections that could be very muddy in the wet. You get great views looking across to Bruton once you’ve climbed out of Castle Cary.

Very pleasant route with some great views over a fruit farm. Two stiles, one a low one and the other by passable by going through the adjacent gate. As highlighted by a previous review, there is a very short steep section which could be slippy in the wet.

This is an easy and pleasant route. There is one short section approaching Gants Mill near Bruton which is steep and slippy in the wet. Unless sure-footed take an alternative route by continuing on the road through Cole and turning left into Sunnyhill Lane.
