Description
Route one has problems at a couple of places and is tricky to follow at times. This suggested alternative heads more southward to utilise the existing Rhymney Valley Ridgeway path. It leaves Caerphilly heading through fields to the Coed-y-Werin woods, then follows the Ridgeway as far as the Maen-Llwyd Inn, where it takes the route used by the first reviewer of route one, joining route one to descend into Draethen
