Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

30 Jul 2022Travelling from Llandrindod to Builth Wells the right of way is blocked at Brynhir so there is no direct route between Brynhir and Dolfawr Farm. The RoW also doen't appear to cross Howey Brook even on paper, and so there is no distinct or marked RoW on the ground between Brynhir and Dolfar Farm. Possible this section could be avoided by using the RoW to the West between Three Wells Farm and Bryn-y-groes but I haven't walked this.
The section along the A483 between Pencerrig Lake and Henllan Brook is alongside a very fast road with a poor quality and narrow verge in places. Possible to avoid this by diverting over or around the Carneddau to the East.

22 Jan 2023I checked the Powys PROW map and Howey Brook is supposed to be open. I have raised a report with Powys Council. I crossed it and climbed the wire fence. I went over Carneddau which was great as it was covered in snow.
