A direct route between Camberley and Bracknell, mainly on pleasant wooded traffic-free paths apart from pavements in the urban sections at both ends of the route. The central section is on the wide tracks through Swinley Forest and heathland in the MOD training area. This section can be muddy with areas of waterlogging. The whole route is suitable for mountain bikes.

It connects with train and bus stations at both Bracknell and Camberley, and the usual town centre shops, cafes and facilities. The route passes close to The Lookout Discovery Centre and South Hill Park Arts Centre, both with cafes and toilets. Small detours possble to visit Surrey Heath Museum, Caesar's Camp hillfort and Bill Hill Bronze Age barrow.

Bracknell to Camberley 2 (Bracam 2) review.

A direct route south; through Bracknell, and then via cycle trails across Swinley Forest.

The urban walk from Bracknell Station makes good use of green spaces: passing by the Bronze Age barrow at Bill Hill (Photo 1) and South Hill Park (Photo 2).

Once into Swinley Forest, the route is mainly along wide cycle trails (Photos 3, 4 & 5). There’s plenty of options to extend the route with detours; for example, to Caesar’s Camp: an Iron Age hill fort.

There’s a short urban walk to the end of the route at Camberley Station.

Bracknell to Camberley

A nice walk through the forest.

The route follows quiet cycle paths (red route) and residential areas into the forest. Then following footpaths in the forest heading into Camberley which is very pleasant. The footpath is gravel and some parts could be muddy so it might not be fully accessible on wheels.

The route has no stairs involved.
