Description
This route is shorter than BILSTO one at 14.6km rather than just over 15km. There is a less convoluted route out of Stowmarket town centre that takes a better footpath into the main high street and down to the roundabout at Combs Lane, it saves around 600m of distance. On the original route there is a suggested route through a cropfield, but this path simply does not exist, you have to take the perimeter of the field which is roughly 150-200m longer. Then around 2km before you reach the end point there is an option to turn left rather than right and take a more direct route to the finish, saving around 150m and having a clear smooth run on the road into Bildeston at the end
