22 Jun 2022A pleasant route that scores well on accessibility, as the whole thing is on good surfaces with no steps or stiles. One minor criticism of the GPX file - it is not possible to shortcut the dogleg from the Clifton Bridge cycletrack/path to Lenton Lane, so the actual route goes further north at this point than the GPX file suggests.

21 Feb 2022I walked this route from Beeston on a breezy February day, after several wet days. Even so, there was very little muddy walking. I particularly enjoyed the section along the bank of the Trent. As you leave Beeston, be careful to take the bridleway lane parallel to the canal, not the towpath. You can't access the footpath to the riverbank from the canal. The urban sections at each end are on quiet roads with pavements.

11 Aug 2021This route walks along various points of the River Trent, crossing at the Clifton Bridge. The paths are either smooth gravel or tarmac with some small inclines. The the route appears accessible to most wheeled users, although there are two cycle barriers in the Wilford section (see survey).
