Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

05 Dec 2021Very good route, easy to follow, not too strenuous and passes through a couple of towns with pubs, cafes, shops, etc.
The route passes through a couple of working farms. No issues with access but, obviously, this might change when there's farm vehicles or livestock being moved.
There are a couple of instances where the mapped route deviates slightly from the path but these are minor and the route on the ground remains pretty clear.
Only slight issue was two short sections (first between pub at Nethermill and Belmont Castle, second just as you leave Meigle) that run along fairly busy roads with no footpath and not much of a verge. Don't think there's a better alternative, but worth taking particular care here.
