  • I received a error code 500 (server error) whilst uploading this review. No photographs were uploaded and the review has uploaded twice. Reported 27 Jun 2022
  • Mr Graham has put up 2 reviews on this route on the same day. Reported 20 Jan 2024
  • I reported an issue with this page yesterday about a comment being wrongly described. I can also see that the list of reviews hasn't been updated for a day. I can see other reviews have been added including one I have just posted but the most recent is 24 hours old. Reported 24 Jun 2023
  • Hi Cristie! I’m not sure this is a bug so much as an explanation I’m looking for. I’m getting frequent emails (6 in the last 24 hours) saying one of my routes has been reviewed. The route is Marlei One Markfield to Leicester, and the name of reviewer is David Griffiths. I don’t have David on my radar as a developer (perhaps I should). The more recent reviews include ‘test’, and they don’t appear on the live site. Could you do a check with Darren that this is all ok and above board? I will then ignore the emails! Thanks, Jane Reported 29 Mar 2023
  • Inconsistency in photo thumbnail display for portrait oriented photos (and one other), possibly linked to the process by which they were uploaded. E.g. Rombre 2 thumbnails on route Overview page. Photos 1-7 uploaded with route: portrait photos = 6, 7: both thumbnails are portrait. Photos 8-21 from a review: portrait = 17: thumbnail is landscape but only shows middle part of photo - missing the full scope. Photos 22-28 from a photo survey: portrait = 22, 24, 26: thumbnails are all portrait. But photo 28 is different again as the photo is actually landscape (just! 1280 x 1251 pixels) but the whitespace surrounds the thumbnail display as if it were portrait. Is this is a new feature? I remember "portrait" thumbnails like photo 17 before. I'm not sure it's a success as the amount of white space now on the page rather defeats the purpose of a quick view of thumbnails, particularly when using a landscape computer screen. Maybe the whitespace could be shown as vertical white bands within portrait thumbnails so the on-route-page alignment and white space doesn't change? Or just return it to all being like 17 again - is there a functional need for full scope thumbnails for every portrait oriented photo? Reported 29 Dec 2023
  • 04.07.21 I was uploading my review of Pathar1 on which I had submitted the allowed total of 15 pictures that I had referenced in the written review. It appears to have deleted all but the 1st 3 pictures "Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "413 Payload Too Large". Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused." Reported 04 Jul 2021
  • Aldercar and Langley Mill FP 34 at SK 44701 49128 waterlogged even after six weeks without rain. Pond close by is culprit. Reported to Derbys CC today 24/4/2021. Reported 24 Apr 2021
  • Brinsley FP25 at SK 45080 49001 there is no gap, gate or stile to cross the boundary. This has been reported to Notts CC today 24/4/2021. There is a stile at SK 45117 48873 but no sign to direct users to it. Should the route be amended to use the available stile. How do we advise Slow Way users? Reported 24 Apr 2021
  • Hi Cristie and Dan. Not a bug but a general comment for development of the reviewing process. Please have a look at the string of comments on LevKen Four. Cheers! Reported 21 Oct 2023
  • Just arranged to walk a route and do a survey, so am looking at the survey form. Under access there is a question "free of single steps or drop kerbs". If there is a drop kerb, there is no issue. Surely should be just "free of steps". Under gradients, the units are cm and should be % according to you training guide. Also, not entirely clear what walking east and walking west means. Our route is north east-south west (CROBRA) . I suggest that you need the direction of the walk on the form. Then you just need steepest uphill and steepest downhill. If someone does the reverse they can swop the uphill/downhill. You have "Flight of steps" twice. Reported 24 Apr 2021
  • "Bl---- Bonkers". I spent some time producing NEWTEI 2 because NEWTEI 1 suffered 2 significant flaws. 1: The original GPX was too imprecise, notably where it confused one reviewer into taking an inappropriate wrong turning at Shaldon Bridge to cross under the railway line. 2: A quite worrying apparent failure to understand and appreciate the safety restrictions on timing because the track is intertidal between the A380 bridge and Shaldon. I am concerned that this reviewer appears to have walked the route without due respect to the clearly displayed warning signs (or my description) on completing below half tide. He has in fact rated not the NEWTEI 2 gpx route but his route on going "off-track" (something which it is not possible to do successfully and which is never necessary anyway when completed below half tide). Not sure what (if anything?) needs doing. Reported 05 Aug 2023
  • This route runs through the Broad Ride of Cirencester Park from Cecily Hill to Sapperton. This is not a public right of way (according to the online Gloucestershire PROW map). Only the east part of the Broad Ride are open to the public and the gates are locked at 18:00 every evening. To get from Sapperton to Cirencester follow the Thames Severn Way to the Tunnel House and cut across to Coates and then through the Royal Agricultural University farm fields to the Foss Way just west of Cirencester Reported 16 Apr 2021
  • I submitted this route myself but having tried to walk it yesterday, it is currently impassable due to the HS2 works having blocked one of the footpaths for three years with no diversion in place. I will upload the alternative route I walked yesterday. Reported 13 Nov 2022
  • I surveyed & uploaded a route (strgla one) at the weekend. It appeared this morning without the pictures. I noticed someone else has experienced this on the forum.. is there a problem? Reported 05 May 2021
