  • 04.07.21 I was uploading my review of Pathar1 on which I had submitted the allowed total of 15 pictures that I had referenced in the written review. It appears to have deleted all but the 1st 3 pictures "Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "413 Payload Too Large". Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused." Reported 04 Jul 2021
  • I cant put my home village of South Brent in to route planner - even though smaller village if Buckfastleigh is in. Reported 15 May 2024
  • Inconsistency in photo thumbnail display for portrait oriented photos (and one other), possibly linked to the process by which they were uploaded. E.g. Rombre 2 thumbnails on route Overview page. Photos 1-7 uploaded with route: portrait photos = 6, 7: both thumbnails are portrait. Photos 8-21 from a review: portrait = 17: thumbnail is landscape but only shows middle part of photo - missing the full scope. Photos 22-28 from a photo survey: portrait = 22, 24, 26: thumbnails are all portrait. But photo 28 is different again as the photo is actually landscape (just! 1280 x 1251 pixels) but the whitespace surrounds the thumbnail display as if it were portrait. Is this is a new feature? I remember "portrait" thumbnails like photo 17 before. I'm not sure it's a success as the amount of white space now on the page rather defeats the purpose of a quick view of thumbnails, particularly when using a landscape computer screen. Maybe the whitespace could be shown as vertical white bands within portrait thumbnails so the on-route-page alignment and white space doesn't change? Or just return it to all being like 17 again - is there a functional need for full scope thumbnails for every portrait oriented photo? Reported 29 Dec 2023
  • I walked Cirfai two on 3 July and have submitted a review and a survey. However the route details are no longer visible. I just get an error 500 and a promise someone is looking in to it. By the way searching for a route from Cirencester to Fairford produces 3 results but only Cirfai two was visible until the above. The other 2 don't show anything. Cirfai one is presumably excluded because it's described as dangerous in two's description but three is a mystery. Reported 08 Jul 2023
  • There are a lack of 'places' in this region, as a result this route is 35km and impractical. Not many people would want to end up on an island at the end of 35km, however they might do 21.3km along the King Charles III England Coast Path. There is a pub half way at Goldhanger to get some food and rest. From Tollesbury you could take a decent walk to West Mersea, or link up more practically with Layer de la Haye and then onwards to Colchester or Wivenhoe. I suggest we need the addition of Tollesbury and Layer de la Haye, which I've suggested in more detail with this post; https://slowways.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/16516948033693-Tollesbury-in-Essex-place-suggestion Reported 05 Feb 2024
  • The walk I've done using the app is not showing up in my account on the website when I'm logged in. Can we also report app bugs here too? 1. On the walk today the app crashed, when I reopened it, it allowed me to carry on from where I was (which was a relief). but it just marked my progress with a dotted purple line, and didn't update the distance correctly. 2. When I got to the destination, I didn't know how to tell the app I'd made it, and paused it, then ended it, and I think it didn't record the whole distance! 3. I want to submit a review in the app. When I'd typed it in I noticed that the Submit button was greyed out. I can't work out how to make it active. Thanks! Reported 26 Jun 2023
  • There is an anomaly with Yate to Frampton Cotterell-winterbourne. The Slow Ways map indicates that there is a Slow Way between these two places but a click through from the line leads to a blank page and the Slow Way is not mentioned on either of the place pages. Is there a Slow Way GPX for this route? Is there meant to be? Reported 12 Feb 2023
  • It seems to be on there twice. Reported 19 May 2021
  • This route runs through the Broad Ride of Cirencester Park from Cecily Hill to Sapperton. This is not a public right of way (according to the online Gloucestershire PROW map). Only the east part of the Broad Ride are open to the public and the gates are locked at 18:00 every evening. To get from Sapperton to Cirencester follow the Thames Severn Way to the Tunnel House and cut across to Coates and then through the Royal Agricultural University farm fields to the Foss Way just west of Cirencester Reported 16 Apr 2021
  • Hi, I’ve walked Huthor 1 and there are two problems. Firstly at Hutton Cranswick where the route goes over a railway line. In reality on the ground there is no footpath here and it’s not possible to cross the railway line. Secondly, just before the route joins Seaton Road on the way into Hornsea, the route is drawn on private land. (The actual right of way footpath is only 200m away). I’ve redrawn the route in order to avoid these two problems and have uploaded it as Huthor 2. Reported 20 May 2021
  • This request was created from a contribution made by Guy Brindle on 23 April 2021 21:33 UTC. Wadcam (one?) may need to become a ghost route. Link: https://slowways.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/360015251857-WadCam -- There are some issues with this route. It looks fine on paper, and this is my local area for walks.  The start of this walk  off the Camel Trail to Sladesbridge is possible but it is under review  to upgrade the route. The route from Sladesbridge along the bridlepath to to the road just past  Rocksea Mill cottage is fine. However, you have a problem from Allenbrook to Littlewood Mill it is a path but it is private property. The public footpath starts there but turns off uphill after some 100 meters. Again if you continue along the proposed track you are going onto private property once more till you reach the gate on the road which states  it is not a public right of way, and permission is needed to walk through There is no other issues otherwise with this route. However in this stated  form this route is not  walkable Reported 24 Apr 2021
