  • This review is only for a section of this route between Almondbank and Perth and not for the whole route. Reported 31 Mar 2024
  • FAO Cristie. Another 2-review-1-author route. The other review's text detail is convincing but this one is too brief to tell, v diff dates though seems unlikely both are correct. One of the reviews is edited, the earliest again, and again the date is 27 Jun 2023, same as WesCry. Can't be a coincidence... Reported 26 Sep 2023
  • Brill — Aylesbury review Ed Kendrick 12 Jun 2023 This reviewer marked it as 1 star and the only reason given is there might or might not be blocked in the future. Comment even says there is no block ATM. and didn't even if they walk the route. After looking up info, it seems there there is no plans to block this route. Reported 17 Mar 2024
  • I think this review is also on the wrong route. It mentions going on Bowen Drive and past Kingswood House and they are both on WesCry 2 but not here. It's a bit confusing, especially as the writer then discusses a whole load of other roads/places, some of which might actually be on WesCry 1. I saw there is a flag on one of the reviews, so perhaps someone already noticed and adding the flag was the workaround to stop it counting. Reported 16 Sep 2023
  • I've noticed this route doesn't appear on the progress map. Another route than I've done, Keiyeo2 also doesn't appear. I was trying to reduce the gaps! Reported 01 Jun 2023
  • Posted a review of this one (Walkin Two) about 3.30 this afternoon (03.06.2023) but it hasn't shown up. I posted it using the app: when I pressed 'submit' it appeared to be processing it correctly, counting up the photographs as it loaded them, and then returning me to the route page when done. But ... no review, no 4 stars :'( I'll hold off posting again for this route/any more routes until I hear back ... is it hiding somewhere or do I need to have another go? Cheers Jane Reported 03 Jun 2023
  • I'm trying to upload photos, but each photo I add overwrites the previous one, so my review is only showing one picture Reported 04 Mar 2023
  • Routes have a date but it seems to be an Edit date not date uploaded. A route of mine whose description I later updated now appears to be about a year younger than the review. Not serious, but a bit confounding. Reported 24 Aug 2023
  • Planned maintenance by Severn Trent means the path at the bottom of Tideswell dale closed until mis April 2023 so this root is not possible. Suggest doing tidbak 1 but crossing at Upper dale. Reported 04 Mar 2023
  • This route tries to take the water through a gated, private woodland across the lane after Frith Wood. (One of the photos shows this and it's noted in the reviews.) The route needs updating to show the detour (on road and then footpath) required as a result of this. Ledmal 2 uses the correct, accessible and legal route at this point. Reported 07 Feb 2023
  • The walk I've done using the app is not showing up in my account on the website when I'm logged in. Can we also report app bugs here too? 1. On the walk today the app crashed, when I reopened it, it allowed me to carry on from where I was (which was a relief). but it just marked my progress with a dotted purple line, and didn't update the distance correctly. 2. When I got to the destination, I didn't know how to tell the app I'd made it, and paused it, then ended it, and I think it didn't record the whole distance! 3. I want to submit a review in the app. When I'd typed it in I noticed that the Submit button was greyed out. I can't work out how to make it active. Thanks! Reported 26 Jun 2023
  • Please see my recent edits of the description and review of Weoher 2. I need to take down the existing .gpx and upload a tweaked one which I have ready. I have emailed Dan R-E about this but I know he has many other demands on his time and I was hoping that the Slow Ways tech team could help by giving me an email address to which I can send the tweaked .gpx so that they can take down the existing one and replace it with the tweaked one. Thanks and best wishes from Nic Howes. Reported 29 Jun 2023
  • Echoing the two previous reports. It is evident that the reviewers for Salkin one are travelling along the first legs of the Clarendon Way (Salisbury to Winchester, via King's Somborne) based on their own knowledge of the path - Salkin two and Salkin three being review-led efforts to resolve this. It seems to me that Salkin one just needs the GPX updated to accurately reflect the route being reviewed, and then Salkin two and three can be removed to reduce clutter. This would help people who are less familiar with the area. Let me know and I'll be happy to provide an accurate GPX file. Reported 24 May 2023
  • There is a duplicate route for Abetro, both showing as the same line on the map. Reported 06 Jun 2023
  • Hi Cristie and Dan. Not a bug but a general comment for development of the reviewing process. Please have a look at the string of comments on LevKen Four. Cheers! Reported 21 Oct 2023
  • This route appears to take in the A17. The A17 is a major trunk road used by HGV with no footpath and in my opinion it is too dangerous to walk along Reported 12 Aug 2023
  • Footbridge over the river Blackwater near the Blackwater station end is currently closed with barriers pending repair. It seems that the north (Berkshire) end has sunk making it unsafe. Reported 30 Aug 2023
  • This is a follow-up to your previous request #1208 "Problem with a General: Site" Hi Cristie,I'm enjoying the sunshine in Aberfeldy and hope to walk kenabe2 tomorrow. When I zoomed into the kenmore end all the lines there were rather a mess. Would someone be able to tidy them up so they all end at a point. Many thanks Frances Sent from my Galaxy -------- Original message --------From: Cristie Moore <[email protected]> Date: 09/06/2023 10:31 (GMT+00:00) To: Frances Berry <[email protected]> Subject: [Slow Ways] Re: Problem with a General: Site Reported 14 Jun 2023
  • Hi Slow Ways Support, When I reviewed Wilsal One over the weekend I came across a bees' nest over a footpath. I've reported it to the council, shared on local social media and got in touch with the local Ramblers group, and for Slow Ways' purposes prefaced the review I posted with a warning detailing where it is and how and to avoid. I plan update/remove that part once its been sorted. I'm in two minds whether I should also “Report a problem” with the route however. On the one hand it might help draw attention as it remains a risk for people who might unknowingly follow it should the someone not read the review. On the other the “Report a problem” feature feels more for permanent issues with the route. What do you think? Kind regards, Charles Reported 28 Jun 2023
  • 😝😤Hi Cristie Apologies for the mess that is the reviews on NEWTEI2. I've had problems in getting hold of Tony and Julie - they can be hard to tie down! Tods is Tony. Chronologically, the first review ("We walked this . . . . . ") is the genuine Tods review entered for him by Julie. Julie then encountered problems in logging on herself and ended up entering her review with Tony's credentials! This appeared not to have worked and so she sent it again (you'll notice the slight differences). Both should have been attributed to Julie Squire (as in the Julie Squire reviews to CHUDAW2 and DAWTOP3). I compounded the problem by adding a comment to the first, plugging the tide issue, and addressing it to "Tods". Don't despair of us! It seems to me that Tods' original review ("We walked this route on Thursday . . . ") should stand. Julie's first review should be attributed to Julie Squire not Tods and the comment(s) deleted (you will see I also made a hash of that! So both comments!). I suspect this may not be possible probably because of the way the algorithms are written or because it amounts to tampering which could be deemed inappropriate. In this case perhaps both Julie's reviews could be deleted and I will work with Julie to restore her access and upload a new review. Annoyed with myself because I should have recognised the different styles, albeit both entered by Julie, but was of the mind that all 3 had been entered by Tony whom I suspect is a bit of a Jamie Oliver - a very clever, successful and delightful character who chooses, rightly, to delegate the written word to others. I am very anxious to resolve things with the utmost sensitively. Sorry, last thing you want on a Monday morning! Just let me know how you want to resolve it. Incidentally, they are both keen to do another and I'm inviting them to do Kingsteignton to Teignmouth which requires attention because it relies on a path that has never existed! Also requires hopping on a double decker bus to start which was a bit of a bonus getting to Newton Abbot 😊. Tony Reported 04 Sep 2023
  • Hi Cristie Opened the link below to read a new review only to see something odd along the bottom of the screen. A red bar full of symbols, numbers and what looks like code. Tried both route links in email, same result. (Same result when I tried place links later). Numbers are slightly different, including what looks like page loading time in ms. Sequece of screenshots attached. Main route page was greyed out at first. On one test a cookie acceptance pop up appeared and I realised that touching the screen was still working despite the red bar. And the (Spoiler - review was only a rating. words say "leave a comment". A weirdly low effort review considering the effort of physically walking it) I also had a review email notification for another route a little earlier this evening and it is perfectly normal. (My own review - boring) Noticed that the URL is cluster.slowways instead of usual beta.slow... perhaps explaining the cookies. The page looks normal if I access it the usual way and I have not been logged out of beta.slowways.org. Also red bar was persistent as I navigated around the site ( still apparently within the Gmail app) and continued after "open in browser". When I realised that I apparently needed to "Log in". I didn't get much further. FYI I did have a pop up (not on phone but earlier on the laptop) about the main (beta) site to the effect of 'this website isn't secure but it usually is and someone could be eavesdropping on your data". It went away on refresh so I ignored it and would probably have forgotten by now. But I'll probably log out instead and wait a while. Over to you. I'm hoping it's pretty minor.
