2. Change from gravel/tarmac path through short grass section to compacted earth path through trees. 1.4 km from start — 13 May 2021
3. Path crosses stream with very eroded and uneven path access to bridge (2 railway sleepers wide) with a step at each end. Goes onto an earth path, single walker width. 1.6 km from start — 13 May 2021
4. Path crosses ditch and then widens to three abreast. Path gradually rises towards buildings on the horizon. 2.1 km from start — 13 May 2021
5. Picture is looking back along route. Path enters Clayton between farm and hedge. Through partial barrier, turn right onto road. 2.9 km from start — 13 May 2021
6. Turn left onto Hall Brig. 3 km from start — 13 May 2021
7. Arrive at five way junction take 3rd track which is marked as a footpath. 3.4 km from start — 13 May 2021
8. Log barrier across track. Track is deeply rutted in places and later becomes a footpath. 3.5 km from start — 13 May 2021
9. Evidence of the remains of stone flagged path. Path reduces to one person width. Shortly after footpath sign the path curves right becoming very uneven. 4.1 km from start — 13 May 2021
10. To right past tree trunk barrier across bridge over stream, then turn immediately left onto footpath which is muddy in places. 4.4 km from start — 13 May 2021
11. Kissing gate leading out onto Broad Lane next to West Farm. Turn right onto road with verges but no pavement. 5 km from start — 13 May 2021
12. Looking back to overgrown entrance to poorly defined footpath. Access is possible through adjacent ungated field entrance. 5.2 km from start — 13 May 2021
13. At end of field from East Farm path goes through scrub/brush to narrow stream with no bridge or stepping stones to assist crossing. Way finding is difficult in this section. 5.5 km from start — 13 May 2021
14. After stream indistinct path along field edge with fence of industrial estate to right hand side. At the end of the field is a ditch and bank partial barrier. After this point the route follows residential roads. 5.9 km from start — 13 May 2021
