    10. The beginning of fishing pitches for the Long Eaton Angling Society. Note that the canal path can be closed to runners and cyclists during angling matches, but there is a cycle path running parallel to the canal path when these take place. Due to long grass and lack of maintenance, the canal path here narrows to a single pedestrian width and you will need to step onto the fishing pontoons to let bikes (or users with dogs) go past if they are on that part of the track. 1.61 km from start — 12 Jun 2021
