1. For this survey of 'Patsun one' I walked from Pateley Bridge to the Sun Inn. Starting from the bottom of the main street the route follows the East side of the river on footways then an unsurfaced footpath. 0.1 km from start — 09 May 2021
2. The path widens towards Glasshouses where the route turns right, crossing the river and up a farm access road to Harewell Hall (Farm). 1.8 km from start — 09 May 2021
3. Beyond Harewell Hall the route passes into fields with field gates at boundaries. The route then follows a loose stone track to Dacre Banks. 4 km from start — 09 May 2021
4. Beyond Dacre Banks the route passes through some fields and onto the track bed of the former Harrogate to Pateley Bridge railway spur. 7.2 km from start — 09 May 2021
5. As the route approached Darley it leaves the former track bed and runs alongside the river. At points the path is being eroded by the river. 8 km from start — 09 May 2021
6. Having turned right up into Darley the route uses footways and verges to the right turn up a bridalway. The crossing at this point is on a blind bend requiring a crossing of the road before arrival at the bridalway. 10.1 km from start — 09 May 2021
7. At the top of the bridal way there is an access track to the lanes around Kettlesing. Using the verges to avoid passing cars and with a few field crossings and a further bridalway the route arrives at the Harrogate to Skipton main road. Beyond this the route passes across fields which has cattle in them on this day. 14.1 km from start — 09 May 2021
8. Having crossed more minor road and down a farm access track to Long Liberty farm, the route turns right and into some pleasant woods around Beaver Dyke Reservoirs. In this area the route is along old trackways that are now grassed over. 16.8 km from start — 09 May 2021
9. Having left the reservoirs the route passes onto a woodland track and out to open fields that lead to the Sun inn. 17.5 km from start — 09 May 2021
