    1. For the survey of Darmat 1 starting at Darley Dale. The footpath along the back of the steam railway sidings is attractive but fairly narrow. Can be avoided by continuing across the level crossing and joining the cycle track at the next crossroads. 0.5 km from start — 07 May 2021

    6. Here the cycle track crosses the railway and does a section by the road. Much nicer to keep straight on next to the railway and then drop down to the river immediately after a very narrow footbridge 2.6 km from start — 07 May 2021
