10. The cycle barrier and horse step as you turn left to walk along the edge of Horseclose Wood. 3.2 km from start — 03 Nov 2021
11. The gravel path along the wood is well maintained. Hopewell School can be seen further into the wood. 3.5 km from start — 03 Nov 2021

13. This gate has a chain that is easily moved to allow access. The lane is 1.5 km long and and has several of these gates at regular intervals. 4.5 km from start — 03 Nov 2021
14. The lane from The Cowshed opens onto a road. 200 metres further up the road is the footpath with steps leading to the stile. 5.8 km from start — 03 Nov 2021
