Weltau Survey

Route description

The Wellington end of this route uses more of the West Deane Way to avoid Hamlands Lane and the arable fields which seemed problematic for WelTau One. At the Taunton end it crosses to the south of the River Tone through Longrun Meadow and includes the Willow Cathedral. The path along the west of the River Tone between Bradford and Upcott actually follows the river's meanders, and crops are planted where OS’s official diamond PRoW goes. I've been honest about the extra length of the route here! Overall, it's about 12% longer than WelTau One.
