Route description
A replacement for Sanstr one. A long walk, with no real stopping points along the way. Accessibility improved at St Neots end, and 2km of unnecessary road/verge walking removed - where footpath route is not too indirect and safer. Despite it's length, this is a nice walk. Some gates, steps and narrow sections, uneven terrain, but mostly flat apart from Crane Hill which is steep especially if walked from Sandy to St Neots. Be aware that between Gipsy Corner and Abbotsley Hotel Golf Club, crops obscure the correct footpath and you may need to follow crop markings and correct yourself. Footpath into the same field can be overgrown but is passable.
