Route description
This route is broadly the same as Melchi one, but makes the following changes : 1 ) Rather than walking up Lowbourne Rd, walk through the path 2 ) Additional length of Forest Rd in Melksham, avoiding old Wilts & Berks path, which is overgrown with nettles 3 ) Route into field at Lacock via nearer stile off main road 4 ) Route going into Chippenham avoids public footpath as marked on OSGB maps, which is completely overgrown in brambles and nettles, and replaced with path which goes under Avenue La Fleche bridge and then between river and Av La Fleche, past the Millenium Wall, before rejoining Melchi one at second bridge
