1) Leaving Bishops Lydeard at the end of Station Road there is an an attractive option of not following the road to the left but continuing directly ahead over a stile to what was Middleton's Farm and then left to Ash Priors Common....

The road out of Wiveliscombe wasn't great for walking and I wonder why the route does not take the Wivey Way route north of the road. So I diverted via the Wivey Way path to the north, rejoining the route at Quakinghouse Lane....

We were staying half way along it so the plan was to walk one half then the other but we abandoned it after one half. However the route is blocked at Heywood farm by at least 2 electric fences....

There is quite a bit of road walking with no pavements, but these are on quiet roads mostly. I walked from Bishops Lidyeard to Wiveliscombe and found no problems....

I was following the route in front of the house as shown on the OS map. But was advised that this route no longer exists - and has be rerouted....

Much of it follows the well marked West Deane Way along footpaths and bridleways....

A very similar route to TIVWIV (one) but taking a route avoiding the road section between Uplowman and Tiverton. A quiet country walk with some climbing involved....

There are diversions (at the time of the review) where there are construction works to the north of Wellington, and these are open to change. But there are notices identifying the route. Some muddy sections experienced....

The route in and out of Wellington currently is subject to a temporary footpath closure until April 2022, due to housing development. There is a detour in place once you get to it, which directs you over the railway bridge at Longforth farm. However a different route from the start/finish to this point is described in WIVWEL two....
