A very short walk on pavements under the Westway, into a park, then to the canal, then it is traffic-free towpath walking the rest of the way to Paddington Station. Good paths all the way, although some cobbles near Paddington. The station has lifts, stairs and escalators so good for wheels. A café half-way, if the thought of 2km in one go seems a lot :-) An enjoyable walk with lots of interest....

The Area around Paddington has changed but the route still works, follow the 'Way Out - Grand Union Canal' signs in yellow where platforms 12 to 24 are....

When I walked it, I messed up a little and went along Portobello Road — which was a mistake on a Saturday afternoon. I was pleased to see that it was I that had messed up, and the route was spot-on....

It is now also possible to go from Hansel Road straight onto a new footpath towards Cambridge Road without having to take a zig-zag across Carlton Value....

A short, wiggly and enjoyable walk through some of London's most expensive streets, juxtaposed with some singularly less costly properties....

At the present time (March 2022) there's quite a bit of building work around Paddington Station, and some entrances to the station are closed. But this is a nice enough walk; as other reviewers have noted, it does have a significant flight of steps from Bishop's Bridge Road to the canal, but the diversion mentioned is fine. This route works well with adjacent Slow Ways....

An odd one to review as you cannot access Old Oak Common node, yet, and I started by the canal (having just walked Oldkil)....

Pavement walking, suitable for wheelchairs, wide smooth undulating paths away from the busiest of roads....

For a step free route exit the station turn right and right again to join the plotted route, this walk is then suitable for wheel chairs....

The route passes through Notting Hill and the Portobello Road area, very attractive residential areas, there are some interesting shops and cafes on the way. Well worth the time, a full 5 stars from me....

I was continuing on from Westbourne Park to Wembley, so I just stayed on the Grand Union Canal and didn’t bother trying to get off it....

- I found it a bit tricky to navigate through Paddington Station, but I followed the signs “to taxis” and then “to grand union canal” and I think that got me where I needed to go....
