A nice route, with very little roadwalking once beyond West Malling....

The start point would be better from the junction of Station Road and the A20 OS (Grid Ref: TQ 71279 58385) where there are buses; it is 0.6 miles further on (Northeast) to the Station....

Nice walking through the well kept paths of Kings Hill though after crossing the bypass the route ceased to exist - the footpath through the field is no longer accessible. In winter and after rain this route (if it was available) would be very muddy, and not advisable for most users. A more reliable year round option would be to walk along the wide footpath alongside the bypass and past the train station, which is barrier free and fully paved...

I recall getting lost at some point around the A20, but I'm not sure if this was because of our ineptitude (as we'd been walking for sometime) or because of a mistake in the routing....

Walk this routeSecondly, the route kicks you out onto the Ightham Bypass which is rather tricky to cross at the point shown....

Be warned that the sections through the woods near Seal Chart and over Oldbury Hill can be extremely muddy, or straight up wet, at least during winter....
